Coach Lacy
The Full Story
Hi there! My name is Lacy and I am a Sexual Health Coach. I am a Certified Professional Life Coach as well as a Certified Sex Therapist and a Certified Laugh Yoga Leader and am currently working on my certification as a Sacred Sexuality Instructor. I know that's a lot of certifications! I began this journey as a Licensed Professional Counselor after earning my Masters Degree in Counseling at the University of Houston Clear Lake. While I loved my role as a licensed therapist, I wanted to shift to something more specialized and flexible for myself, so I earned my certification in life coaching and wanted to specialize in human sexuality.
I earned my BFA in theatre Arts from Sam Houston State University and one semester I took a course on Human Sexuality and I found my passion. That class was liberating for me to be in an environment where we openly discussed things that seemed taboo everywhere else.
When I first learned about sex and reproduction (shout out to my mother for being open about it), I found myself confused at knowing that sex is something that affects everyone, yet is something that so few openly discuss. As I have continued with my education and general life experience, that point has hit even harder.
Our sexuality informs so much of who we are at our core, even in areas that don't seem related to sex. It informs how we communicate and connect with others, how we express ourselves to the outside world, and how we make decisions about various things. Why wouldn't you talk about it openly?!
My aim with L'emental Coaching is to provide a shame free environment for anyone to explore who they are as a sexual being, and to discuss the things that have been too taboo to discuss otherwise in the most accepting and affirming space I am able. As a member and ally of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the complexities of a sexual identity and the discrimination that can come with it. And while I do work with heteronormative individuals and couples, my passion lies with the queer community and women.
So, let's talk about the things that make you uncomfortable and work together to get you to a place where you not only discover yourself, but enjoy your life and body without shame.
