Coach and Coordinator
Hi there! My name is Lacy and I am an Intimacy Coach as well as a Theatrical Intimacy Coordinator. I am a Certified Professional Life Coach as well as a Certified Sex Therapist, and Sacred Sexuality Instructor. I also have over 20 years’ experience working in and on stage in the theatre.
I earned my BFA in Theatre Arts from Sam Houston State University in 2006. I taught middle school theatre for a few years as well as a contract theatre director for various school districts in Houston. I’ve been acting and directing since I was in middle school myself.
In 2015 I decided to take a break from theatre and earned my Masters Degree in Counseling at the University of Houston Clear Lake and eventually became a Licensed Professional Counselor. While I loved my role as a licensed therapist, I wanted to shift to something more specialized and flexible for myself, so I earned my certification in life coaching and wanted to specialize in human sexuality.
Like anyone else who has had a love of theatre, it never went away. Working as an Intimacy coach got me to rediscover my love for theatre and directing. I have always loved digging into characters and making them come to life. Through Intimacy Coordinating I was able to create a safe, creative environment for actors and production teams. It also gave me the creative freedom to develop the L’emental Embodiment Method for character development.
On the Intimacy Coaching side, I help people struggling with identity issues, communication in relationships, body image issues, and how to feel at home and safe in their own bodies. I love working with people, hearing their stories, and guiding them to enjoy their body and all it can give them.
On the Intimacy Coordinating side, I work with actors and directors to ensure authentic storytelling with intimate story lines while ensuring the emotional safety of all involved.
I am also a proud member and ally of the LGBTQIA+ community.
